Guy Harvey Magazine’s Online Fisherman (“The Online Fisherman” then) was experiencing a brand awareness problem that was causing a disconnect between the company and their target audience. Research was performed on relating Magazine style websites.

Design

Ease of use on all devices was the name of the game for The Online Fisherman. Most users were coming from social media outlets so having a site that functions flawlessly on mobile was crucial.

Develop

Upgrading The Online Fisherman’s Joomla 2.5x site template to a newer 3.6.2x template allowed for more functionality using updated plug-ins.

Market

The newsletter goes out to over 400,000 plus people weekly so a new design was critical to create brand awareness by driving traffic to the site. The Online Fisherman was also given a social media presence to connect with the younger generation.
